WHERE INNOVATIVE PROTECH ENGINEERING MEETS TOUGH PRODUCTION DEMANDS.

When cutting concrete with aĀ HusqvarnaĀ Saw, maximum productivity can only be achieved by a well thought out balanced Protech Diamondā„¢Ā  blade.Ā  All factors must efficiently work together to get the most out of your working day. Itā€™s about the interaction between you, the machine and the diamond blade as a whole. This is what Protech Diamondā„¢Ā  the ideal choice for maximum productivity and profitability.

In-floor sawing, maximum productivity can only be achieved by a well-balanced formula of power, ergonomics, torque, maneuverability and reliability. All factors must collaborate efficiently, so you can get the most out of your working day. Itā€™s about the interplay between you, the machine and the diamond blade as a whole. This is what makes Protech Diamondā„¢ floor saws the ideal choice for maximum productivity.

With our complete line-up of top-quality blades, cores, ranging from big to small diesel engines to small agile floor saws with reliable gasoline engines, we can offer a suitable blade or core for every job.

Segment DesignĀ
Protech Diamondā„¢Ā  concrete blade segments are manufactured using Protech Diamondā„¢ brazing diamond technology allowing a high concentration of abrasion diamonds to be chemically infused & mechanically bonded into the steel diamond segment. The segment is best described as the ā€˜teethā€™ around the blade. There are two parts that make up a segment, the bond, and the diamond.

A diamond blade grinds rather than cuts because the diamonds are configured in a perfect matrix configuration to improve the grinding action.Ā  The amount of diamonds, quality of diamonds, and the size of the diamonds in a segment all factor into cutting speed and the life of the blade. The resulting tool life is far greater and the accuracy of the cut is enhanced.

Advanced Diamond Bond Matrix
Diamond crystals are held in place by a sintering process of specially blended metal powders. This bonding matrix is crucial to the overall performance of the Protech Diamondā„¢ cores and serves several vital functions:

  • Disperses and supports the diamonds
  • Provides controlled wear while allowing diamond protrusion
  • Prevents diamond ā€œpull-outā€
  • Acts as a Heat Sink
  • Distributes impact and load as the diamond attacks the cutting surface
During the sawing action, the wearing away of the matrix exposes new diamond crystals providing fresh cutting points for the blade.

Canadian Engineering, Manufacturing & Overseas Procurement

Put our expertise to work.Ā  We build better blades through field design process that involves talking to operators and owners. Because we manufacture our blades in our Calgary factory we can prototype and deploy blades faster. This gives Protech Diamondā„¢ a competive edge to stay in place with industry trends.

Manufacturing in Canada means we can access an exceptional talent pool of generational tool makers and craftsmen. Canada has a long proud tradition ofĀ  tool making a tradition passed on from our pioneering fore-fathers.

Overseas production is tricky, quality standards vary from country to country. To ensure the process goes smoothly for our customers, Protech Diamondā„¢ employsĀ  representatives in China ensuring the entire process from manufacture to shipping goes as planned.

Smooth operators know the difference a good concrete blade makes and the headaches a bad blade can cause. Never satisfied with our design we are constantly improving our blade design to improve the cut reliability and quality of our blades. Because we manufacture our blades on site in Calgary we can test new blade designs often. In the world of blade technology, an aggressive R&D strategy keeps Protech Diamondā„¢ up to date with industry trends.
